
Urban Planner
Overview
The Urban Planner supports land use planning, entitlement strategy, zoning coordination, and development planning efforts for public and private sector projects.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct zoning, land use, and entitlement research for development projects.

Prepare due diligence analyses, feasibility studies, and planning reports.

Assist with rezoning applications, comprehensive plan amendments, variances, and special exceptions.

Coordinate with municipalities, planning departments, and regulatory agencies.

Support site planning efforts with development strategy recommendations.

Prepare presentation materials for hearings, community meetings, and client discussions.

Review land development codes, ordinances, and regulatory frameworks.

Coordinate planning efforts with engineering, architecture, and ownership teams.

Assist with master planning and mixed-use development strategy.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Regional Planning, Architecture, Geography, or related field.

2+ years of planning experience preferred.
-
Knowledge of zoning, entitlement, and municipal development processes.
-
Experience with GIS, planning software, and Microsoft Office preferred.
-
Strong analytical, writing, and public communication skills.
-
Familiarity with Florida planning regulations preferred.
-
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
