As the Director of Permitting at Barrios Engineering, Debi Plaisance brings 20+ years of experience in navigating complex regulatory processes and securing the necessary permits for large-scale architectural and civil engineering projects, all while ensuring each project complies with local, state, and federal regulations.

Debi specializes in obtaining architectural, environmental, zoning, construction, and other project-specific permits, often working closely with government agencies, environmental consultants, and legal teams.  

Her keen understanding of the permitting landscape, combined with strong project management skills, enables her to anticipate challenges and provide creative solutions that keep projects on track and in compliance.  Debi’s proactive approach and attention to detail have been instrumental in delivering successful outcomes for clients, helping to mitigate risks and streamline the approval process.

At Barrios Engineering, Debi is not only a leader in securing permits but also an advocate for sustainable and responsible development.  She is committed to ensuring that projects not only meet regulatory requirements but also contribute positively to the communities they serve.

Debi was born and raised in Louisiana where she worked for the Oil & Gas Industry.  When Debi is not working, she likes to complete DIY projects around her house and has recently taken a liking to gardening.
