Zara, is an urban and regional planner at Barrios Engineering since 2024, she brings strategic insight to development projects. Her professional approach focuses on coordinating complex urban planning initiatives, bridging diverse stakeholders to generate development strategies. Zara is experienced in conducting due diligence processes, identifying risks in development projects while ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and client objectives.


As a skilled liaison, Zara coordinates between clients, contractors, architects, landscape architects, and surveyors, ensuring smooth project progression through various planning stages. Her comprehensive understanding of community dynamics and familiarity with the permitting process allows her to develop strategic approaches that balance technical and collaborative requirements. 


Zara’s meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills are critical in managing project documentation, tracking deliverables, and maintaining clear communication channels.


Her professional passion centers on creating practical, responsive urban solutions that address community needs and development challenges. By leveraging collaborative planning methodologies and maintaining a holistic perspective, Zara contributes to projects that seek to enhance infrastructure and community functionality. Her work consistently demonstrates a commitment to precision, efficiency, and thoughtful urban design strategies.


As a Florida native, Zara attended the University of Central Florida and obtained a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning. Outside of work Zara enjoys travelling and exploring new locations and reading.
