
Permitting Associate
Overview
The Permitting Associate manages project permitting workflows, agency coordination, application preparation, and entitlement support to help projects move efficiently through approval processes.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare, submit, and track permit applications for municipal, county, state, and utility agencies.

Coordinate with AHJs, utility providers, and regulatory agencies throughout the permitting process.

Monitor review cycles, deadlines, permit statuses, and agency correspondence.

Assemble permit packages including plans, applications, supporting documents, and consultant deliverables.

Coordinate responses to review comments with internal design teams.

Maintain permitting logs and project status reporting.

Research jurisdictional requirements, codes, and submission procedures.

Support entitlement, zoning, and land development approvals as needed.

Coordinate inspections, approvals, and closeout documentation.
Qualifications
-
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Construction Management, Engineering, Public Administration, or related field preferred.

2+ years of permitting or development coordination experience preferred.

Familiarity with municipal permitting processes and agency workflows.
-
Strong organizational and administrative skills.
-
Excellent communication and follow-up capabilities.

Experience in land development, architecture, engineering, or construction preferred.

Knowledge of Florida permitting agencies strongly preferred.
