Permitting Associate

Overview

The Permitting Associate manages project permitting workflows, agency coordination, application preparation, and entitlement support to help projects move efficiently through approval processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, submit, and track permit applications for municipal, county, state, and utility agencies.

  • Coordinate with AHJs, utility providers, and regulatory agencies throughout the permitting process.

  • Monitor review cycles, deadlines, permit statuses, and agency correspondence.

  • Assemble permit packages including plans, applications, supporting documents, and consultant deliverables.

  • Coordinate responses to review comments with internal design teams.

  • Maintain permitting logs and project status reporting.

  • Research jurisdictional requirements, codes, and submission procedures.

  • Support entitlement, zoning, and land development approvals as needed.

  • Coordinate inspections, approvals, and closeout documentation.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Construction Management, Engineering, Public Administration, or related field preferred.

  • 2+ years of permitting or development coordination experience preferred.

  • Familiarity with municipal permitting processes and agency workflows.

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.

  • Excellent communication and follow-up capabilities.

  • Experience in land development, architecture, engineering, or construction preferred.

  • Knowledge of Florida permitting agencies strongly preferred.
