  • Civil engineering for various site designs including grading and drainage design, utility design site and roadway layout

  • Support preparation of land development design and permitting documents

Qualifications

  • BS in Civil Engineering

  • 0-1 years of professional civil engineering experience

  • EIT preferred

Entry Level Civil Engineer

  • Research and understand environmental regulations and permitting requirements at the local, state, and federal levels

  • Prepare and submit permit applications

  • Communicate with regulatory agencies

  • Track the progress of permits through the approval process

  • Manage a team of permitting professionals

  • Stay up-to-date on changes in regulations and permitting requirements

Permitting Manager

  • Create and modify 3D drawings using CAD software

  • Work with engineers and architects to understand design requirements

  • Produce accurate and detailed drawings that meet industry standards

  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth project execution

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest CAD software and technologies

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Land Planning or equivalent

  • Experience: 0-4 years

  • Preferred: EIT, Professional Engineering, or Landscape Architecture License or equivalent

  • Software Proficiency: Microsoft Office, Bluebeam (optional), Smartsheets (optional)

  • General understanding of site development concepts such as grading, storm drainage, erosion and sediment control, and stormwater design

  • Strong desire to learn with an interest in land acquisition and development

  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

  • Self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to work independently with little direction as well as part of a team
