
Business Development & MARKETING
Overview
The Business Development & Marketing Associate supports the growth of the firm through strategic client outreach, proposal development, brand positioning, and relationship management. This role bridges business development, marketing, and client engagement to help generate opportunities across civil engineering, architecture, planning, and construction management services.
Key Responsibilities

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets including commercial, industrial, residential, healthcare, hospitality, and government sectors.

Research upcoming projects, RFQs, RFPs, and procurement opportunities through public and private platforms.

Coordinate and prepare proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, and interview materials.

Maintain CRM systems and manage lead tracking, client outreach, and follow-up activities.

Develop and manage marketing collateral including brochures, capability statements, project sheets, and service line materials.

Support website content updates, SEO initiatives, social media strategy, and digital brand presence.

Attend networking events, industry conferences, trade shows, and client meetings to represent the firm.

Build and maintain relationships with developers, architects, contractors, owners, municipalities, and industry partners.

Coordinate internal project data collection for marketing and proposal development.

Track competitor activity, market trends, and client opportunities.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Engineering, or related field.

2+ years of experience in business development, marketing, or AEC industry marketing preferred.

Experience with proposal development, CRM platforms, and marketing coordination.

Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CRM software, and website content management systems.

Experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction (AEC) industry strongly preferred.

Self-starter with strong organizational and relationship-building skills.
